Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in construction and or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders
  • Great organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
  • Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required
  • Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding area
  • Assist in performing inventory on material
  • Assist in filling work/shipping orders
  • Assist with loading fabricated rebar onto trailers and unloading stock materials
  • Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization
