Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience
  • CDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferred
  • Valid/Clean Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts
  • Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (excavator and loader experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators, loaders, and dozers safely and efficiently in heavy highway construction environments
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and safety standards
  • Follow site-specific safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately
  • Assist with material movement, grading, and site preparation as directed
