Requirements

  • High School or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as an adult trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position-an asset
  • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate and facilitate training on various 24/7 shifts
  • Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to mentor, lead, and coach existing and new staff
  • NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit

Responsibilities

  • Train new personnel on operation of filling equipment, GMP's and recycling guidelines.
  • Inspect date codes, weights, labels, and bottles with the FDA paperwork before packaging.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and adjust machines, using micrometers and weight scales to ensure product specification.
  • Perform operations of machines, including troubleshooting, cleanup, setup, quality control, and waste control.
  • Perform all required quality/ food safety checks, for example temperature checks, seal checks, weight checks, code checks, etc.
  • Ensure weekly cleaning schedule is followed to maintain cleanliness of the equipment and process to produce high quality and safe product.
  • Improve team performance and communication by recommending activities to share diverse cultural backgrounds and foster teamwork.
  • Oversee deputy trainer program and manage new hire training checklist completion.
  • Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Other duties as assigned.
