About The Position

Williams is seeking an Operations Technician I, II, or III to join their team. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and ensuring compliance with operational and governmental requirements. The technician will also be responsible for data analysis, collaborating to resolve technical and operational problems, and maintaining accurate records. A strong focus on safety, knowledge of permits, and adherence to company policies are crucial for success. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role
  • Must be willing to: Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Must be willing to: Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Must be willing to: Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Must be willing to: Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
  • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry

Responsibilities

  • Performs various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
  • Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
  • Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
  • Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
  • Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
