About The Position

This is an opportunity for a Team Leader on the 3rd Shift at Voltava T&W in Fort Wayne. The primary goal is to promote the most qualified team member for the job. The role involves enhancing the performance of the production team through training, facilitating, communicating, and assisting as needed to help the team achieve goals in safety, quality, attendance, and production. The Team Leader is expected to set the environment, focus, pace, and tone of the team through their actions, and consistently promote Voltava’s philosophies and values. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and showroom facility through good housekeeping, ensuring safe work methods are followed, and continuously improving safety practices to achieve zero injuries. The Team Leader is also responsible for helping the team meet production goals, improving efficiency, ensuring all production and quality systems are followed to deliver defect-free products and world-class first-time quality. Effective communication and action on information are crucial for the team to make appropriate decisions for necessary improvements. Additionally, the role involves helping the team meet customer expectations by managing low volumes of finished goods and raw material inventory, meeting daily production targets, and monitoring the OSR.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all Voltava systems are properly used in the production of our product
Enhance the performance of the production team through training, facilitating, communicating and helping out as needed to assist the team in achieving their goals in the areas of; safety, quality, attendance and production
Setting the environment, focus, pace and tone of the team through their actions
Promotes Voltava’s philosophies and values at all times
Maintaining a safe and show room facility (Housekeeping)
Enhance and ensure that safe work methods are followed by every team member
Continually improve safety practices and conditions with the goal being zero injuries
Help the team achieve their production goals
Improve the efficiency of the production team
Ensure that all aspects of the production processes are properly balanced
Ensure that all production and quality systems are followed at all times
Continually improve our systems to ensure that our customers receive defect free products and that first time through quality is world class
Ensure that information is communicated and acted upon to allow the team to make appropriate decisions to focus on necessary improvements
Help the team meet customer expectations
Keep low volumes of finished goods and raw material inventory
Help the team meet daily production targets
Monitor the OSR
