Responsibilities

  • Orient and Train: Give employees the information, technology, and reference materials necessary to perform their jobs. Realizing that training is an ongoing activity, crucial for new staff, as well as for long-term staff, who takes on new responsibilities or who experience changes in the way their existing duties need to be performed.
  • Assign work: Assign certain duties to the employee, explaining how those duties are to be done (i.e. what level of performance will meet the department’s expectations) and communicate how the successful performance of those duties will be measured. Ensure that the employee is working under a current job description and in a classification appropriate to the duties.
  • Take an active part in material movement, verifying orders, receiving and storing product in the plant. This will include actively moving material, training, and/or assisting personnel as deemed necessary by customer demands, staffing levels, etc.
  • Responsible for assisting any NOTS Supervisor in ensuring proper care and maintenance of equipment is completed by completing daily checklists and reporting all damages or issues immediately.
  • Verifies accuracy and compliance with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures for NOTS Logistics and the customer.
  • Responsible for compliance with company HR and Safety Policies.
  • Responsible for compliance with manufacturing housekeeping and 5S procedures at all times while in the facility.
  • Must understand and abide by all required performance standards of productivity for assigned job function and communicating problems or concerns to supervisor, manager or human resources.
  • Adhere to the NLGA Code of Ethics and Business Conduct at all times. Acts as a representative of NOTS Logistics and TNA at all times while on duty.
  • Verify and inspect that all material being transported is secured.
  • Must abide by all rules and regulations to protect customer’s asset.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support business needs
