Summary/Objective The Operations Support Specialist will assist the operations team by providing administrative support to ensure the smooth flow of daily activities at the Middletown site. This position will assist several management positions including the Head of Operations, Production Manager and EHS Manager with administrative assistance that includes use of SAP, Mii, Excel, Word and other site software.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and updates operations data for various reports
  • Coordinates and tracks various operations programs and prepares summary reports
  • Issues purchase orders in a timely fashion
  • Revises SOPs, Work Instructions and Forms as directed by management.
  • Collects daily/monthly operational KPI data and input into Excel spreadsheets. May require looking up data in SAP, Mii, ancillary spreadsheets or floor generated templates.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and summary reports as needed.
  • Provides administrative support, data entry and follow up for various operations programs: Attendance Tracking Management Floor Walks and follow up of open action items Production Waste Recycling New Employee On-Boarding for operations personnel Production Employee Training Records Maintaining Production Supply Minimum Inventory Levels (including reordering)
  • Generates purchasing requisitions in SAP for key operations suppliers including but not limited to: Uniform Rentals Cleaning Services Landscape Services Production Supplies
  • Administrative assistance in creating and/or revising SOPs, Work Instructions and Forms as needed.
  • Assists in operations department communication including laminated Tier Board postings, one point lessons, and other department communications.
  • Maintains 5S supplies for the site.
