About The Position

Position Summary: Responsible for the development of business plans and budgets, implementation and continuous improvement of special projects and providing general support to the assigned business unit. Responsible for training of company Data Specialists and Contractors in utilizing WMIS and other tools. What You'll Do: • Develop, maintain, and update departmental policies, procedures, and documentation standards. • Ensure compliance with company, legal, and regulatory requirements for records, easements, and land documentation. • Analyze and report on departmental metrics, goals, and performance data to support operational efficiency. • Assist with budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting. • Maintain, monitor, and generate reports using systems such as PeopleSoft, Open Grid, and GIS. • Provide administrative and technical support for contractor coordination, procurement, and IT-related requests. • Supervise and support Data Specialists in document processing, recordation, and data entry activities. • Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure accuracy of land and record documentation systems. • Facilitate staff and contractor onboarding, including training on departmental systems and procedures. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and data integrity. • Develop and deliver training materials for new or revised departmental processes. • Review property owner applications for construction within Washington Gas easements and ensure compliance with company requirements. • Prepare and process quitclaim and easement modification documents. • Conduct land record research to verify easement information and provide documentation for internal and external stakeholders. • Evaluate county and third-party requests affecting company easements and rights-of-way, preparing appropriate responses. • Coordinate the collection, tracking, and recordation of easements across multiple jurisdictions to ensure proper filing and compliance. • Respond to land rights inquiries and direct requesters to appropriate contacts or departments. • Process invoices and related documentation using PeopleSoft and ensure timely submission and accuracy. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and company objectives. What You Bring: • High School Diploma/GED required • 2+ Years experience in utilizing computer technology and company record-tracking systems and databases is required. required • Proficient in the use of EXCEL, Visio, and Access Databases. • Experience working with PeopleSoft financial tables and query tools. • Ability to design databases using MS Access and create queries and reports from Access and PeopleSoft. • Working knowledge of Gas Transportation and Gas Supply procedures and practices and a general knowledge of utility operations required. • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse groups with mutual project goals to successful completion of stated objectives. • Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a wide audience in a concise manner.
