Operations Support - Plant
About The Position
The Plant Operations Support role's purpose is to set up, install, repair, clean, and maintain machinery and equipment in the plant. Working with Industrial Maintenance Technicians, vendors, service people, and other maintenance personnel it is their responsibility to support the smooth, efficient and effective operation of all plant activities and functions. Core Responsibilities: Maintenance Responsibilities (40%) Perform general repairs to the shipping department equipment and machinery Assist Industrial Maintenance Team on planned major downs and projects Perform daily inspection of shipping department equipment communicate any issues to supervisor and/or maintenance manager Operations Support Responsibilities (60%) Maintain and operate water management pits, including the lagoon, and the flume, rock, and mud pits General Housekeeping and cleaning of the plant area. Management and disposal of all waste products including culls, foreign material, and sediment from plant operations. Clean and lubricate Shipping department motorized equipment
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old at the time of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of related mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience driving farm equipment and commercial trucks w\air brakes in similar environments is a plus.
- Basic mechanical and electrical comprehension to safely repair common items found on inspections.
