About The Position

Under minimal supervision, responsible for performing insurance verification, providing patient financial counseling and performing routine audits of accounts in an effort to identify opportunities for accurate charging practices. Reviewing daily oncology charging patterns and maintaining accuracy of charges. Serving as a resource for billing and reimbursement questions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, required.
2+ years of experience in oncology prior authorization and previous insurance and managed care experience, required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology or related field, preferred.
Oncology and radiation oncology billing/reimbursement experience, preferred.
Insurance knowledge of managed care, Medicare and Medicaid, preferred.
