POSITION OVERVIEW: The Espy LLC Operations / Supply Chain Manager is a hands-on, working manager role – executing operations and production activities in a low-volume / high mix RF electronics manufacturing and integration environment. Responsibilities include procuring and managing inventory; managing a flexible production / integration line; implementing quality and ESD controls; and coordinating materials and work orders for the shop floor. The position must foster cross-functional collaboration to meet demanding quality and delivery targets in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen or permanent resident – green card holder).
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or technical discipline or commensurate demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in supply chain and operations management.
  • Prior functional experience in manufacturing and supply planning, buying, and production management.
  • Experience managing projects with medium complexity and a high-volume of data.
  • Prior experience managing operations and supply chain staff.
  • Experience reading interpreting engineering schematics and diagrams to ensure BOMs are accurate.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people and teams in a fast-paced environment and motivate them to work together as a team.
  • Self-driven, adaptable and resourceful; able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate vision into action.
  • Experienced user of MRP/ERP systems (NAV and/or MS D365 experience highly desirable).
  • Computer and Microsoft Office literate (MS Dynamics 360, Word, Excel, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma and/or CPIM certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Execute supply chain and operations activities with a small, cross-functional team in a high-tech, low-volume, high-mix RF electronics and software business unit, including, but not limited to: production scheduling to meet revenue recognition goals; purchasing planning to meet production demand; lead daily operations meetings and walk the floor often to ensure progress being made to schedule; monitor WIP and production performance; drive throughput to ensure on-time delivery metrics are met; own, operate and manage the MRP system and processes on a daily basis.
  • Manage the migration of MRP to a new version of MS D365.
  • Conduct inventory control using established practices including cycle counting, kitting and annual physical inventory.
  • Provide operational management and guidance to ensure quality and delivery goals are met.
  • Develop, maintain, and train personnel on processes and procedures to prevent and address material shortages, parts obsolescence and/or production delays.
  • Work closely with sales, engineering and program management to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • When applicable, work and interface directly with the suppliers to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, Kaizen) that improve supply chain and operations performance.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and ownership of sourcing, planning, and production processes
  • Develop good working relationships with stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure effective communication of accurate, relevant, and timely information.
