Linfox partners with some of Australia’s leading mining organisations to deliver safe, reliable and high-performing logistics solutions across the Pilbara. We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our established Port Hedland team and support the day-to-day delivery of fuel and general freight operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that works closely with drivers, schedulers and contractors. This role is available on either a residential or FIFO basis on an 8-6 roster.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a complex supply chain environment will enable you to make an immediate impact with the team.
  • Effective leadership and people management capability, focused on team and personal development
  • Experience working within supply contracts including load configurations and truck & trailer allocation
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, scheduling and safety management
  • Proactive approach to customer relationships with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • General freight, load restraint & fuel distribution experience highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Supervising drivers and supporting safe, compliant day-to-day operations across the Pilbara network
  • Conducting yard walks, spot checks and oversight of pre-starts, fatigue compliance and MT Data requirements
  • Supporting scheduling activities to ensure assets and resources are used effectively
  • Leading investigations into safety, operational or compliance issues and recommending corrective actions
  • Maintaining open, practical communication with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and assisting with special projects as required
