About The Position

McKesson Corporation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift operations (Sunday, 3:00 PM; Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM until 11:45 PM). This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods and processes within our distribution center, maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality during the evening hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, make sound decisions, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work the specified 2nd shift hours: Sunday, 3:00 PM; Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM until 11:45 PM.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse associates, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and coaching to achieve operational goals.
  • Oversee daily operational activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management, ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage departmental productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to optimize workflow, resolve operational issues, and maintain seamless transitions between shifts.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software to track progress, generate reports, and analyze data to drive operational improvements.
  • Conduct performance reviews, address employee relations issues, and participate in the hiring and onboarding of new team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, quality, and safety.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance overall operational performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
