About The Position

Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Oversee assigned shipping and/or receiving operations for Distribution products and related products for facility; schedule work duties and control overtime for assigned area. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. Recommend measures to improve shipping and/or receiving methods, equipment performance, and quality of packaging. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of facility and department. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems. Develop and train employees to optimize work performance; includes providing on-the-job training for new employees in the department, as needed. Review attendance records and counsel or discipline employees appropriately based on their attendance issues as well as violations of other company policies. Maintain and control inventory. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Arrive at work on time and comply with company attendance and tardiness policies. Possess ability to get along with co-workers, customers, and company visitors.
