About The Position

The Operations Supervisor will provide work direction to shift leadership team and subordinates to achieve safety, machine, quality, delivery, cost and people objectives set by the customer and MAU. This will require the Operations Supervisor to manage the daily tasks of manufacturing and material movement associates working in various departments throughout the Mill. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Hours are 12-hour rotating shifts, working 2-2-3 schedule. Essential Functions Customer Expectations: Lead Pre-Shift Meetings. Attend scheduled daily performance meetings with the customer. Manage employee work assignments based on turnover and call-offs. Communicate shift turnover effectively. Perform Gemba walks throughout the shift (Process Compliance). Verify production via Hour-by-Hour reporting. Address issues that are below target. Document corrective actions. Respond/Perform special requests from the customer. Address Concerns & Provide Follow Up on actions taken. Update communication boards (SQDC). Ability to implement countermeasures and apply containment. Ensure 5S standards are maintained. Ensure associate compliance with Dress code and MAU policies. Talent Management: Manage MAU associates. Sustain and Support Leader Standard Work. Be an agent of change and proactive with conflict resolution. Management Crisis i.e. safety issues, injuries, property damage, etc. Provide continuous training efforts to improve team performance. Oversee Process Improvement. Take part in Safety investigations. Facilitate security compliance and suspension of employees. Operational Management: Promote/support a positive Safety Culture. Ensure profitability of the Minimize/eliminate property damage risk. Provide post-accident reports and drug testing. Maintain payroll/Kronos daily. Support and operate within headcount allocations. Manage expectations regarding Safety and Quality rules. Participate in continuous improvement projects when expectations aren’t met. Perform employee attendance counseling. Actively participate in Simple Problem solving.

  • Associate’s degree OR High school diploma with three to five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing / logistics setting
  • Ability to bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift approximately 75 pounds
  • Ability to continuously mount and dismount a vehicle
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to climb 5 flights of stairs multiple times a day
