Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing operations. You should feel empowered to act as the plant manager of your building for your shift. One of Post Consumer Brands company values is to Act Like an Owner. The incumbent will have responsibility to achieve people safety, food safety, quality, customer service, productivity, efficiency, cost, and OEE objectives through both individual and team contributions. He/she will provide direction, leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, on the job assignments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to hold others accountable and to achieve results while fostering a constructive team environment is critical. The operations supervisor should demonstrate that they own their shift and are driving their team members and support groups to deliver results. Supervisors will engage production and maintenance technicians in decision making while fostering a learning environment that requires involvement and personal accountability. A key is to deliver on business results through managing multiple priorities and staying on top of multiple open action items. Shift schedule: This position will initially be on 2nd or 3rd shift. Based on results and business needs, there could be the potential to move into a first shift position. Supervisors are regularly promoted into other leadership positions. It is expected that you will work approximately every other weekend.
