At Ryder, the Operations Supervisor is a key part of a fast-paced team, empowered to develop their operations and managerial career within an essential industry. This role assists the Operations Manager/Sr. Operations Manager with the operations and personnel for a specific shift at a location. The Operations Supervisor may oversee various employees including Technicians-In-Charge, Customer Service Coordinators, Technicians, and Service Employees. They are responsible for achieving results, meeting business objectives, and fulfilling labor requirements. The Ops Supervisor ensures customer needs are met while balancing financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset targets. This position manages location performance against metrics to meet or exceed assigned objectives and will be cross-functionally trained to provide backup support within the shop. Adherence to all Ryder Maintenance Operations policies and procedures is required. This role is considered a developmental position, preparing incumbents for an Operations Manager role, with opportunities for internal promotion based on performance and continuous on-the-job experience, leading to a long-lasting career.
