About The Position

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a talented and experienced Operations Supervisor (one for our Day Shift and one for our Swing Shift) to join our brand-new Distribution Center in Woodland, CA. PCP is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America. This facility is a year-round labeling and shipping operation with approximately 70 employees and three production lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Operations Management or related field; and/or 2+ years management experience in food processing/manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of label and casing equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Computer skills required with experience in Microsoft Office tools and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably in a CBA environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and an ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work the designated shift (Day Shift: 7:00am to 4:00pm or Swing Shift: 3:30pm-12:30am) and flexibility to attend occasional leadership meetings or training outside of standard shift hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train employees in company policies, safety, sanitation protocol, quality, and production procedures/standards.
  • Oversee all warehouse functions, including inventory control, logistics, and shipping activities to ensure nationwide distribution targets are met.
  • Consult with the Operations Manager regarding production schedules and performance sheets.
  • Adjust plans accordingly and ensure staffing levels meet production schedules for the labeling lines.
  • Document daily production and warehouse records; investigate and report all production or inventory shortages, overages, and losses.
  • Manage changes to procedures or processes resulting from equipment modifications, line installations, or customer specifications.
  • Administer and maintain company policies and union contract work rules.
  • Ensure employees are following all SOPs, General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and plant safety requirements.
  • Manage shift-specific handovers to ensure seamless communication and operational continuity between day and swing shifts.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
