About The Position
Our client has a Global footprint within the Freight Forwarding Industry and is seeking to hire a Operations Supervisor to join the growing organization. The Operations Supervisor in logistics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods. A proactive mindset for scaling operations efficiently. Strong leadership skills to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within the transportation industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international sea and air freight
- Hazmat certification is a must due to current Operations
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and transportation providers.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure service quality.
- Leading initiatives that use data and technology to innovate and optimize workflows continuously.
- Identify inefficiencies in logistics operations and implement corrective measures.
- Utilize technology and data analytics to enhance workflow.
