About The Position
Our client has a Global footprint within the Freight Forwarding Industry and is seeking to hire a Operations Supervisor to join the growing organization. The role and primary responsibilities Job Summary The Operations Supervisor in logistics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods. A proactive mindset for scaling operations efficiently. Strong leadership skills to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within the transportation industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international sea and air freight
- Hazmat certification is a must due to current Operations
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
- Vendor Coordination: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and transportation providers.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure service quality.
- Leading initiatives that use data and technology to innovate and optimize workflows continuously.
- Identify inefficiencies in logistics operations and implement corrective measures.
- Utilize technology and data analytics to enhance workflow.
