Operations Supervisor - Colorado Springs, CO What You Will Do: Continuously strives to improve flow within a production value stream, while reducing non-value-added activities and increasing customer satisfaction. Leads direct reports and collaborates with other functional areas to implement changes in production methods and processes to improve product quality, performance, and profitability. Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met on a timely basis. Provides counseling. Plans, recommends and implements programs for timely development and progression of the individuals. Manage discipline and documentation steps in problem employee situations. Lead continuous improvement in customer service, productivity, and quality. Communicates area goals and objectives and provides general work directions. Encourages associate involvement in attaining the goals of the department and of the business. Provides training to associates in areas of production, teamwork, problem-solving skills, measurements etc. Ensure work is assigned and prioritized to the various teams and associates. Reviews the teams and the individual associates’ performance against the goals. Interprets and enforces company policies and procedures. Counsels and administrators discipline in accordance with company policies. Provides feedback to the department concerning progress to the established goals. Maintains department records such as attendance, time keeping, vacations, PTO, make up time etc.

Requirements

  • Must possess supervisory experience, and cross-functional experience in additional disciplines.
  • A minimum of a four-year college degree in either operations management, business or engineering preferred.
  • Through understanding and demonstrated use of Lean tools and methodology, Six Sigma helpful
  • Must have a basic understanding of complex ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, preferably Oracle.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to read and analyze various reports and data and be able to make sound decisions based on the interpretation of this data.
  • Ability to supervise a highly technical area to include CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Machining, Manual machining, Fabrication and Assembly processes
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
