Summary Supervise, organize and monitor the flow of goods loaded and unloaded from the trucks to dock and warehouse. Provide training for dock personnel and close monitoring of safety procedures and policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to dock workers, balers, and truck drivers. Maintain employee schedules and time reporting. Monitor production flow of trailers and trucks on dock and in warehouses. Oversee the flow of incoming and outgoing materials in the dock/baler area. Route trucks and trailers to various stores and site locations. Check trucks and trailers leaving dock for store supply list and supplies. Takes an active part in designing and implementing dock worker training programs. Responsible for dock and warehouse organization and neatness. Must ensure that all safety issues are handled in a prompt and proper manner, obeying all safety rules and regulations. Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards. Supervisory Responsibilities Dock Workers, Balers, and Driver/Loaders. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and inventory on empty trailers vs. loaded trailers. Ensure that incoming deliveries are properly handled and secure in the appropriate area. Education Requirements Must show leadership abilities, i.e., able to plan and implement daily operations of the dock area. Experience RequirementsTwo (2) to Three (3) years’ experience in a Supervisory or Management role required. The ability to operate a yard dog/tractor is required. CDL Class A preferred.
