About The Position

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and has become a leader in autonomous ground transportation committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense. As an Operations Supervisor, Command Center , you’ll oversee the execution and coordination of live autonomous and human-assisted trucking operations. You’ll ensure uninterrupted service delivery, proactive customer communication, and effective real-time leadership of Operations Specialists, remote operators, and On-Site Support teams. This role demands a high degree of operational awareness and leadership composure. You’ll act as the central point of coordination during live operations — ensuring safety, SOP adherence, and efficient decision-making to support Kodiak’s commercial uptime and customer commitments. Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years in logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, or command-center environments.
  • 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory capacity within operations, logistics, or fleet management.
  • Background: Strong understanding of operational control centers, dispatch coordination, or multi-route fleet management.
  • Proven ability to manage live operations, resolve escalations, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation, logistics, or autonomous vehicle operations.
  • Understanding of FMCSA regulations, safety protocols, and field coordination workflows.
  • Strong Communicator: Skilled at real-time decision-making and communication in high-pressure or customer-facing scenarios.
  • Adept at translating complex operational data into clear, actionable updates for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership Mindset: Leads with composure and accountability, ensuring the team operates with urgency and precision.
  • Proactively identifies inefficiencies and drives continuous improvement in communication, process, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Command Center operations across multiple trucks, routes, and customers during live shifts.
  • Monitor key systems, dashboards, and communication channels to identify and resolve exceptions in real time.
  • Ensure no truck remains idle or delayed without immediate action, escalation, or communication to customers.
  • Lead execution of SOPs, including pre-shift briefings, mid-shift syncs, and end-of-shift handoffs.
  • Manage Command Center scheduling and ensure appropriate shift coverage across all hours.
  • Handle time-off requests, staffing adjustments, and overtime approvals within guidelines.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and exit discussions for Command Center personnel.
  • Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable for safety, performance, and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with Assisted Autonomy Supervisors and On-Site Support Supervisors to align operational priorities and execution plans.
  • Manage incident response and ensure accurate documentation, timely communication, and resolution follow-up.
  • Foster a culture of urgency, ownership, and operational discipline within the Command Center.
  • Other duties as assigned.
