About The Position

The superintendent will conduct hourly travel paths to inspect and monitor the process continuously ensuring company expectations are met including but not limited to food safety, plant safety, quality, productivity, and cleanliness, documentation, key performance indicators, and more. The superintendent collaborates with Plant Safety to ensure all associates understand and adhere to the company's safety programs, procedures and guidelines. The superintendent is responsible for safety plant-wide. The superintendent will facilitate and assist in conducting of the monthly plant safety meetings for their respective departments. He/she is required to submit and follow up on any and all suggestions or concerns regarding plant safety. The superintendent will conduct weekly Safety Audits on at least 2 associates per week. The superintendent will conduct weekly Forklift Safety Audits on at least 2 forklift drivers per week. Works in partnership with the Plant Safety department to oversee, implement, and hold associates accountable for adhering to all plant safety guidelines. Responsible for ensuring the Operations supervisors keeping plant safety top-of-mind, and conveys that same sense of urgency to the hourly associates. Ensures all injury accident reports are completed and turned in to Plant Safety within 24 hours from time of incident. Proactive approach to accident prevention. Ensures production supervisors are conducting weekly safety audits on the hourly associates.
