About The Position

Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA (IVXP), a petrochemicals manufacturing company, is looking for an Operations Superintendent to join our team in Decatur, AL. IVXP is an Indorama Ventures company. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with demonstrated capabilities and a strong desire and capacity to lead a team of 20-40 employees. A successful individual in this role must possess related work experience with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include risk management, compliance, delivered business results, team management in support of asset operation and maintenance, support and prioritization of reliability and engineering activities including improvement projects.

Requirements

• Four year degree in an engineering discipline with 8+ years’ experience in refining or chemical manufacturing or 15 years in refining or chemical manufacturing with supervisory experience.
• Proven record of sound judgment and effective decision making
• Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills
• Advanced understanding of manufacturing principles
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong negotiating skills
• Knowledge of corporate policies
• Understanding of financial principles
• Advanced PC skills

• Owns the overall business results in assigned area(s).
• Manages asset team in operation and maintenance of assigned area(s).
• Supports and prioritizes maintenance, reliability and engineering activities.
