About The Position

Semper Valens Solutions currently has an opening for an Operations Specialist to work in Lawton, Oklahoma (Fort Sill). This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Fires Division Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) Maintenance and Sustainment mission. In this mission we provide engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division based in Aberdeen MD with operations located at Ft. Sill/Lawton, OK. In this role the candidate will be responsible for the complete management of administrative duties and organizational taskings. The Operations Specialist will apply a disciplined approach to problem-solving, project planning, and quality control to ensure the objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and possess strong computer proficiency.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required (Interim Secret Clearance required to start).
  • Knowledgeable of the Army's missions, functions, and structure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Ability to operate modern Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Operations & Front Desk Support Serve as the front-line point of contact for secure facility operations.
  • Support internal stakeholders while ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
  • Staff the front counter of the Secure Development Facility (SDF) in support of the Computer Facilities Tools Section (CFTS).
  • Act as on-call contact and manage facility opening and closing procedures.
  • Attend to customer needs during equipment or furniture checkout, movement, or relocation.
  • Security & Access Control Monitor and control physical access to the secure software development facility.
  • Screen, verify, and escort authorized visitors, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
  • Enforce access control policies and maintain a secure operational environment.
  • Serve as a security escort for all approved visitors and maintenance staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accountability standards at all times.
  • Property, Equipment & Media Accountability Maintain detailed ledgers for equipment and media entering and leaving the facility.
  • Support property inventory tracking using Army property management procedures and databases.
  • Assist with data transfers and network backup tape processing.
  • Perform periodic inventories of classified and unclassified hardware, media, and documentation.
  • Track, catalog, and maintain audit-ready accountability records.
  • Media Handling & Classification Management Create and manage media labels using on-line and off-line computer peripherals.
  • Assist in proper labeling, classification, declassification, cataloging, and documentation of media.
  • Create and distribute media and copies for testers, programmers, and government customers.
  • Destroy classified and unclassified media, documentation, and hardware using DoD‑approved pulverizers and degaussers.
  • Administrative & Customer Support Process over-the-counter and email-based work requests.
  • Answer telephones, forward calls, and generate messages for lab and technical users.
  • Provide onboarding-style guidance to facility users on equipment use, media handling, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate requests and ensure timely follow-up with users and technical staff.
  • Reporting, Compliance & Documentation Maintain SF‑701 Activity Security Checklists in accordance with security requirements.
  • Compile and submit Monthly and Quarterly Status Reports for the COPS group.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready in support of compliance reviews.
  • Systems Monitoring & Data Management Observe tactical and network equipment for operator messages or error indicators.
  • Operate spreadsheet applications and other software tools to enter, manipulate, and report operational data.
  • Utilize customized software tools to fulfill orders, track inventory, and support reporting requirements.
