About The Position

The Operations Specialist supports efficient and effective business operations by overseeing budget management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing inventory and logistics processes. This role involves implementing and managing technology systems, maintaining vendor relationships, and resolving daily tech issues to minimize operational disruptions. Additionally, the Operations Specialist analyzes and enhances operational processes, tracks key performance metrics, and leads special projects aimed at continuous improvement and expanding operational capabilities.The pay range for this role is fixed at $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience. Candidates with strong, relevant experience may be offered salaries toward the higher end of the range, while those earlier in their careers can expect offers aligned with the entry level of the range.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of process management and operational best practices.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other operational software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an operations, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating with external IT or technology service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology-related needs, coordinating with external IT, ERP software, and other technology service providers to ensure adherence to service level agreements and seamless integration of technology solutions into operational processes.
  • Address and resolve minor technological issues as they arise, escalating complex issues to the appropriate external service providers or the Operations Manager to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Monitor operational budgets, track costs, and support resource allocation efforts to help meet financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Participate in regular safety audits and warehouse training sessions.
  • Support inventory management processes, maintaining accurate tracking and helping sustain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers, suppliers, and customers to support logistics processes and help resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the implementation and management of technology systems, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align processes and achieve operational goals.
  • Evaluate operational processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure seamless workflows.
  • Support the planning and execution of special projects aimed at optimizing distribution processes and expanding operational capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
