About The Position

Accountable for the safe installation, operation, maintenance and calibration of measurement and instrumentation devices on all oil and gas equipment and assets to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of gas and liquid measurement data flow processes including prior and current versions of American Gas Association (AGA) flow equations, American Petroleum Institute (API) and Gas Processors Association (GPA) standards along with Electronic Flow Meter (EFM) installation, setup, calibration, and meter setting/design standards
  • Strong understanding of gas and liquid measurement devices, i.e., orifice, turbine, PD, Coriolis, thermal mass, and ultrasonic meters along with electronic flow recording meters
  • Knowledge in gas chromatography and equipment applications
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.  The noise level is typically low.  Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time.  Regularly move about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets.  Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office.  Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Proficiency in the following software programs: Cygnet and or Ignition Power BI
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of work experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of Gas/liquid Measurement associated with the following: day-to-day upkeep and calibration of analytical sampling, and measurement and telemetry equipment.
  • Responsible for the safe installation, operations, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical, measurement, communication, and instrumentation and controls equipment
  • Strong understanding of gas and liquid measurement devices, i.e., orifice, turbine, PD, Coriolis, thermal mass, and ultrasonic meters along with electronic flow recording meters.
  • Knowledge of gas and liquid measurement data flow processes including prior and current versions of BLM Compliance, American Gas Association (AGA) flow equations, American Petroleum Institute (API) and Gas Processors Association (GPA) standards along with Electronic Flow Meter (EFM) installation, setup, calibration, and meter setting/design standards
  • Assist Foreman in the training and development of Measurement procedures and standards.
  • Schedule the collection of measurement data monthly (electronic and dry flow chart recorder data)
  • Provide recommendations on proper material type and size to accommodate load requirements and pressure
  • Document workflows, provide training, assist with developing notifications and testing new systems
  • Support and troubleshoot the monthly gathering system balancing reviews of assigned geographical areas.
  • Install, operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair meters and EFM’s on wellheads, pad levels, and custody transfer gas and liquid meters.
  • Schedule witnessing of Custody Delivery Point Meter Calibration, Inspection, and Sampling.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Willingness to mentor and assist in the development of peers, special projects, and facility design considerations.
  • Communicate company safety expectations to customers, contractors, and public.
  • Plan maintenance and troubleshooting activities for the gas plant and/or associated production and pipeline facilities.
  • Install new measurement and analytical equipment necessary to accommodate field and plant operations.
  • Program, calibrate, and repair various pneumatic and electronic instruments related to measurement, PID Loops, and control systems.
  • Audit vendors to meet company specifications; routinely monitor services provided by third party vendors to maintain company PSM and Pipeline Safety standards.
  • Develops and/or maintains spreadsheets, EFM programs, and other electronic files including calibration and testing software, remote communications software, measurement data files, and work planning/documentation files.
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with Civitas Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
  • Troubleshooting SCADA communication issues.
  • Assist with LOE expenditures to include materials, overtime, and contractor spend. Bring cost saving ideas to Foreman or management
  • Accountable for facility compliance with governmental regulations
  • Work regular work schedule with possibility of extended hours and call-outs
  • Delegating workload throughout the Field
  • Assume responsibility for area operations in absence of Measurement Foreman
  • Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards
  • Assist with evaluations of facilities, equipment, and measuring failures
