About The Position

An Operations Specialist I is responsible for the back office daily operations that may include ACH Processing, Share Draft Processing, ATM Processing, Subpoenas, IRS Levies, Reclamation Notices, Payroll Processing, IRA Processing, Card Operation daily functions that may include investigations related to lost/stolen cards, blocked accounts, card disputes, and data breaches, as well as monitor operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with Visa and federal rules and regulations for all plastic card programs (debit and credit cards.) They will assist all branch offices and departments in resolving back office operational inquiries and participate to ensures that the Department supports the overall goals of the Credit Union and that services are delivered professionally and efficiently. We will consider entry level candidate with strong analytical skills and successful completion of all related credit union regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • IRA knowledge and transaction processing, subpoena processing or card processing experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone consistently, including all co-workers phone calls. Assist and/or refer to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide research and support to retail banking and call center staff.
  • Assist with member complaints in an effective and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and submit to supervisor all monthly report information for assigned job functions.
  • Perform departmental job functions as assigned by supervisor. Duties may be rotated from time to time for cross-training purposes.
  • Print, compile and maintain all necessary resource information, i.e. contacts, etc. for assigned job functions.
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of procedures for all assigned job functions.
  • 80% of total working time is spent working at the computer, reading computer reports. 20% of total working time is spent answering the telephone, operating the copy machine, and filing various reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures related to all assigned job functions.
  • Provide cross-coverage of departmental job functions as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist with the cross-training and support of Electronic Services team members.
  • Participate in projects and attend meetings as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
