The Operations Service Superintendent – West Texas will play a critical leadership role within Crescent’s Production Operations organization in West Texas. This position is responsible for all chemicals, maintenance, and compression activities across Crescent’s operated Delaware, Midland and Central Basin Platform assets, which currently produce approximately 100 MBOPD and 500 MMcf/d gross. The role will work closely with production engineering, field operations, HSE, and third-party service providers to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in oil and gas operations, with significant exposure to chemicals, maintenance, and compression systems.
  • Prior supervisory or superintendent-level experience in a field operations environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production operations, surface facilities, compression systems, and chemical applications in unconventional oil and gas plays.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, budgets, and operational performance in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all chemical programs, maintenance activities, compression and quality assurance gaugers operations across Crescent’s West Texas position to ensure optimal production, uptime, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability for service teams and supervisors, fostering a high-performance, ownership-driven culture in the field.
  • Manage and coordinate field operations personnel and third-party service providers, ensuring alignment with Crescent’s operational, safety, and financial objectives.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize chemical treatment programs with support of staff Chemical Foreman to protect asset integrity, improve production performance, and reduce operating costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering to oversee compression strategy, installation, maintenance, and optimization to maximize throughput, minimize downtime, and ensure system reliability.
  • Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities for surface equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering to identify operational constraints, diagnose root causes of failures, and implement solutions with clear economic justification.
  • Track, monitor, and manage LOE related to chemicals, maintenance, and compression to meet or exceed budget targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, environmental regulations, and company standards, and actively promote a strong safety culture in the field.
  • Support AFE development, execution, and post-job lookbacks related to maintenance, compression, and operational improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate new technologies, vendors, and operational improvements that enhance production reliability, emissions performance, and lifecycle cost reduction.
  • Participate in incident investigations, reliability reviews, and post-event analyses, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.
  • Support acquisition integration efforts by assessing service requirements, aligning maintenance and compression strategies, and standardizing operating practices across acquired assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
