About The Position

Department Scheduler roles encompass two major areas of responsibility: Workforce scheduling and Employee Payroll for multiple sub-departments. First primary focus is to utilize the employee workforce to ensure accurate coverage for all jobs according to business needs while at the same time helping to minimize the department overtime associated with vacancies created by day-to-day operations with minimal disruptions & cost to Shell. The second primary focus is to ensure employee pay is managed according to contract agreements and pay guidelines. As an Operations Scheduler, it includes understanding the short-term business plan for operating areas and supporting activities to achieve objectives with a strong focus on keeping the units covered 100% of the time, and ensuring employees’ scheduling, vacation, call-offs, training and payroll needs are met.
