About The Position

This position is located within the Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence and will be responsible for providing multi-faceted strategic and tactical intelligence support to internal and external stakeholders, with focus on areas such as outlaw motorcycle gangs, sovereign citizens, human trafficking, driver license and motor vehicle fraud, and domestic security.  The Law Enforcement Intelligence Analyst II will demonstrate a depth of expertise in assigned focus areas and analytic tradecraft and will assist with training and mentoring of agency personnel.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the fields of criminal justice or intelligence.
  • Knowledge of logic and critical thinking concepts.
  • Knowledge of fact-finding and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of intelligence-related research methods, including qualitative and quantitative techniques, statistics, structured analytic techniques, and datamining.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and research criminal trends and patterns while data mining.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate large amounts of complex data.
  • Ability to organize data into a logical format and prepare presentations, reports, charts, graphs, diagrams and other pictorial representations of statistical data.
  • Ability to speak in front of groups and make effective presentations.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team.
  • Ability to operate a computer/computer application (e.g., Microsoft Suite, ORION, FRVIS, DAVID, Penlink etc.) and to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Skill in communicating effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Skill in providing customer service to diverse cliental in a tactful, courteous manner.
  • The position you are applying is subject to a Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Be able to travel in state and out of state limited travel.
  • Be able to alternate shifts/workdays as required based on agency need.
  • Be able to be on-call overnight and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • At least four (4) years of experience where your primary function was law enforcement or military intelligence and crime analysis AND a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related discipline
  • At least six (6) years of experience where your primary function was law enforcement or military intelligence and analysis.
