Responsibilities Support the modeling, simulation, and analysis of platforms, sensors, and weapons within OSD-approved scenarios (with a heavy focus on Navy ISR&T). Use a host of simulation tools, MATLAB and statistical methods to analyze system-trade comparisons as well as demonstrate mission utility. Develop system performance metrics that provide insights to Government customers and decision-makers. Independently communicate with customers to develop requirements, set expectations, develop assumptions, and relay results Build complex models of systems by independently determining appropriate levels of detail Coordinate teams of multiple analysts developing models of tactical situations in which to study system tradespace and demonstrate mission utility Prepare analytical product reports and will be frequently asked to brief technical material to Government leadership. Work travel to quarterly working group meetings (within CONUS) is possible as well as additional training opportunities. Guide Junior Analysts and lead teams to produce complex analyses Analyze environmental data and impacts on real world platforms and sensors Apply advanced statistical methods to improve effectiveness of system capability Guide Concept of Operations development through analysis Interface with Subject Matter Experts to establish model assumptions Clearly communicate complex technical methods Generate presentations communicating analysis methodology and results for audiences ranging from MORS conferences to Flag Officers Apply machine learning and pattern recognition optimization techniques
