Operations & Manufacturing Intern
About The Position
Spira Manufacturing is seeking an Operations & Manufacturing Intern who will gain hands-on experience across production, supply chain, and materials. This role offers exposure to the full manufacturing process while supporting scheduling, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives. ABOUT SPIRA: SPIRA MANUFACTURING CREATES PRECISION EMI/RFI SHIELDING AND VIBRATION CONTROL SOLUTIONS USED IN AEROSPACE, DEFENSE, ELECTRONICS, AND INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS. KNOWN FOR RELIABILITY AND ENGINEERING DEPTH, SPIRA SUPPORTS CUSTOMERS DESIGNING CRITICAL HIGH-PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGIES. EMPLOYEES ENJOY A COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT FOCUSED ON INNOVATION, QUALITY, AND LONG-STANDING CRAFTSMANSHIP. THE SUMMER 2026 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM WILL BEGIN ON JUNE 1ST AND RUN APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 12 WEEKS, WITH ANTICIPATED END DATES OF AUGUST 14TH OR AUGUST 28TH DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY. INTERNS WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK APPROXIMATELY 30-40 HOURS PER WEEK (BASED ON AVAILABILITY), MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY; WORK HOURS MAY BE FLEXIBLE.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with production scheduling and planning
- Support daily operations across production and supply chain
- Document process workflows
- Ensure accuracy of operational data
- Assist with inventory management
