About The Position

This position reports directly to the Regional Director. An Operation Manager plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient functioning of a region, ensuring that the organization's processes and operations align with its strategic goals. This position typically involves overseeing the daily operations of various projects, ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, and quality are maintained at optimal levels. Work closely with the Regional Director. Control the workflow and identify bottle necks in the process, likewise, define and implement the solution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in transformers and or testing including high voltage and low voltage applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of all types of electrical equipment, installation procedures, and maintenance
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior Safety record
  • Experience with transformers, circuit breakers, switchgears, and relays
  • Experience with budget and profit/loss responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Promoting a safety culture
  • Responsible for daily schedule entries and updates.
  • Assign people or contractors with the right skill sets to satisfy the needs of the job.
  • Hire, train, direct and control all field service staff within assigned region.
  • Interface with the Regional Director to maintain weekly activity reports for projects.
  • Prepares regional operations reports and forecasts to include accomplishments, challenges & opportunities, market overviews and key initiatives.
  • Manage and determine asset utilization including manpower, tools and vehicles.
  • Track, plan and confirm appropriate maintenance schedules on equipment.
  • Propose capital equipment requests, leased equipment requests.
  • Interfaces with clients to create viable solutions for their needs while driving bookings, growth and profitability.
  • Qualify, select, procure and coordinate subcontractors as necessary to supplement NASS resources.
  • Schedule field jobs to meet or exceed client schedule requests and procure equipment as needed to complete jobs on time and profitable.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and return rented vehicles, equipment, test equipment, or facilities for project success and cost control.
  • Manage regional safety program.
  • Support technical issues with customers, drive HPI tools, participate in creating a culture of integrity by encouraging lessons learn, safety reporting, and participating in investigations.
  • Monitor profitability and margin of service work to meet business goals of profitability.
  • Accommodate last minute scheduling changes resulting from customer request, site problems or bad weather.
  • Resolve product problems or deficiencies in a way that is transparent to the customer.
