Company Statement AyurPrana is an innovative young company founded on the belief that Ayurveda and ancient healing wisdom have the power to transform lives. Under the guidance of Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc, Ayurprana offers health coaching, interactive webinars, and impactful online educational courses to help people live optimally. Ayurprana is now opening a facility called So-Hum Mountain Healing Resort, that will help facilitate healing at all levels for an individual to release body work, detox panchakarma therapies, and educational class (yoga, breath work, meditation, nutrition, etc…) to help support an individual in his / her healing process. Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sohum Mountain Healing is a space where nature and ancient wisdom come together to create transformational experiences. We offer healing experiences that promise to rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit. Guest can spend their days immersed in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga to allow themselves a space to reflect, heal, and awaken to a greater sense of Self. Position Statement The Operations Manager is responsible for fostering the SoHum Mountain Healing culture within all departments and across all AyurPrana companies. An Operations Manager must ignite the human spirit by creating unrivaled client and guest experiences fueled by fun, enthusiasm and compassion that challenge each person to unlock their own potential. The Operations Manager is responsible for the successful operation and administration of the overall property. The Operations Manager must ensure that all operational aspects are continually balanced, while focusing on providing exceptional customer satisfaction by continually training on our company touch points and ensuring associate focus on our touch points at all times. All operations must be executed at the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. The Operations Manager must drive results through effective training, coaching, leading, motivating, empowering and following through with all the associates. The Operations Manager must ensure that our associates and our customers are treated with the utmost respect at all times since they are the key to our success. Position is located in Asheville, NC. This is not a remote position. Flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in business or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience supervising staff and operations in a Hospitality environment preferred
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to respond appropriately under pressure.
  • Must have a strong desire for wellness and healing.
  • Must be able to thrive in a rapidly changing, startup environment.
  • Must be detail and solutions oriented.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to remain in calm and open demeanor while delivering quick and accessible service.
  • Must be proficient and fluid with technology and learning multiple service systems.
  • Sales experience preferred.

  • Manage guest relations
  • Manage general operations of Sohum including housekeeping, spa, front desk, and food and beverage
  • Maintain effective and open communication

  • Cover 2 shifts per week

  • Recruit, train, and supervise team members.
  • Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concern, and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients, visitors, and students.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and expense tracking.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships.
  • Support the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.
