All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations. Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures. Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership transportation experience preferably within food manufacturing.
  • Proficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Team, Fleet, ramp safety, dispatching and ensure the transportation department is complaint with all airline, Airports, ports and all other applicable rules/regulations.
  • Implement process/compliant improvements as needed.
  • Distribute all incoming operational information to the affected departments and ensure the effective dispatch of all flights with accurate specifications.
  • Communicate with production departments to ensure that the exceptional DO & CO quality is maintained at its highest level with maximum efficiency in accordance with DO & CO standards as set by the Quality Assurance team.
  • Plan, forecast, schedule and communicate transportation activities with dispatch as needed.
  • Supervise, motivate, and assist a large team of drivers, driver helpers.
  • Review and enhance transportation policies and ensure adherence to safety measures.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in working condition.
  • Report and reconcile any malfunctions immediately. (i.e. compliance, fueling, maintenance).
  • Ensures OSHA compliance, Safe Program, & DOT standards/training are met
  • Draft and Implement departmental policies and procedures and set related training plans.
  • Monitor transport cost and create related reports as requested by the management
  • Other duties as assigned.
