Learn more about us at https://learn4lifecharleston.org/ How You Will Make an Impact The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day operations of the Learning Center, responsible for student data compliance, pupil attendance reporting and vendor management. This position contributes and creates a positive environment that supports innovation, teamwork, and successful school operations and outcomes.

  • Leadership and management experience
  • Experience using student information systems (i.e. Powerschool)
  • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required
  • Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination, high people engagement
  • Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together
  • Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly

  • Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day activities to ensure efficient center operations and services to students and parents
  • Partner with leadership to ensure student records compliance and reporting are in accordance with federal and State educational regulation, Authorizer requirement, and School Board policies
  • Ensure accuracy of student information including but not limited to attendance data, grades, immunization records, and enrollment data in the Student Information System and conduct quality assurance audits
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on student records compliance
  • Collaborate and coordinate with leadership and other designees on various tasks including new employee onboarding, employee transactions, timecard/payroll support transactions, educational program implementation, student and parent communications, student orientations, and other student events
  • Communicate with student or parent concerns to school staff (i.e. Teacher, Counselor) and school leadership
  • Assist leadership with school safety drills and protocols, workplace safety, and general facility maintenance
  • Make recommendations to improve processes to better support internal and external customers
  • Work with vendors to perform services for general site maintenance
  • Collaborate and build relationship with employees to foster partnership, cooperation, and trust
  • Keep current on student initiatives, events, and program offerings, policies, and services
  • Keep abreast of State regulation related to pupil state reporting
  • Coordinate and participate in graduations, school events, professional development, and meetings
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and develop presentations as requested
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of work schedules as needed
  • Assist with grant compliance, compliance audits and reporting
  • Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time
