Wright Outdoor Solutions offers indoor and outdoor services to residential and commercial customers and their communities across the Midwest. These services include tree care, landscaping maintenance, interior plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and décor. The Operations Manager’s main responsibility is to provide leadership and manage the Cedar Rapids/IA City division to achieve company goals. This position is also responsible for safety practices, development, profitability, operations workflow, resource management, growth, production, and supervision. This position is full-time and may require overtime and/or weekends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years industry related experience in residential and commercial services
  • Minimum of 5 years managing personnel
  • Valid Iowa driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
  • Ability to reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and during adverse weather conditions as warranted by workload and schedule
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing financial goals; implement controls over spending and production to ensure adherence to the budget
  • Evaluate division performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvements
  • Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation promotion, retention and termination activities
  • Resolve business/customer issues and ensure that all escalated issues are closed
  • Oversee safety and technical training, and enforce standards
  • Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency
  • Manage coordinate and monitor all personnel and resources essential for the operation of the division
  • Identify and implement growth opportunities within the division
  • Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
  • Uphold the values of Wright Outdoor Solutions which includes; safety, integrity, excellence, stewardship and family
  • Perform other duties as related or assigned in all service areas of Wright Outdoor Solutions
