This role reports to directly to Plant Manager and is responsible for overall leadership for site operations in Jackson, MS including the machine shop, OEM, and Final Operations. Overall responsibility for leading manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. Drives performance and deploys continuous improvement framework (CIF) to achieve or exceed financial plans, employee engagement and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates team members to create high performance culture. In this function you will: Manages and directs all site manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements. This role is responsible for the following key measures: Sales, Safety (TRCR, DACR), Quality (DPPM), On-Time Delivery, Productivity and First Pass Yield. Additional sub metrics of these key metrics are also included. Assesses performance indicators and take appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met. Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product. Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance through the deployment of continuous improvement framework. Supports product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met. Develops budgets and resource plans, and monitors performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements. Coordinates and assists with plant initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across enterprise. Coordinates with Human Resources to resolve labor relations issues as they arise within production. Achieve labor productivity and lead cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost out. Champion implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance measures. Maintain a working knowledge of product-support related data such as repair manuals, parts lists, service bulletins, price catalogs, etc. in order to provide customer support as well as to identify business opportunities. Responsible for production processes and product audits to verify compliance to Component Maintenance Manuals and other work instructions, which are critical to maintaining FAA and Customer approval. Provide vision and strategy for OEM, Spares, Machine Shop, and Aftermarket operations in order to inspire teams to improved performance development, engagement, and retention.
