Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in janitorial or facility services.
  • Passion for leadership and career growth in operations or management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required.
  • Comfortable working flexible shifts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a team lead or crew lead capacity.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and custodial best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist in daily custodial operations, including crew scheduling and task delegation.
  • Lead small teams and develop confidence in directing day-to-day activities and resolving on-site issues.
  • Train alongside Site Supervisors and Managers in performance management, including coaching, recognition, and discipline.
  • Participate in and eventually conduct quality inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Help ensure teams follow all OSHA and safety procedures, participating in daily safety stretches and flexes.
  • Assist in inventory tracking and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Serve as a point of contact for crew members, communicating updates, expectations, and feedback.
  • Model and promote Verde's culture and "Verde Vibes" through positivity, teamwork, and a client-first mindset.
  • Receive and apply ongoing leadership development training to prepare for transition into Site Supervisor or Site Manager roles.
