Manages nursing personnel and daily operational related activities. Leads Nursing team for assigned units or departments with responsibility for all operational functions of the team. Works in partnership with the Medical Director and Physician Liaison of the department to provide administrative and medical staff support to the operations of the unit. Responsible for developing and initiating improvements in the organization and delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care. Responsible for nursing clinical practice, budgetary personnel activities, and regulatory activities associated with the unit or department, and continuing support of Electronic Medical Record. Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital (GSACH) has 3 advanced acute care locations, within the hospital, that functions as one large unit. The GSACH Advanced Acute Carre Team cares for patients with a variety of diagnoses including those with exacerbations of chronic illness, as well as new onset illnesses, and even pre and post op patients. GSACH has a community hospital environment that provides you with a team that feels like family. The Operations Manager would oversee the daily operational activities of the unit and manage the nursing personnel. The shift is days.
