Operations Manager – MRO Location: Miramar, FL Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Operations Manager – MRO to join our Operations team. This role will be based at our Miramar site, supporting our FAA Part 145 Repair Station and playing a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul services to our customers. The Role As Operations Manager – MRO, you’ll have full operational responsibility for assigned production cells within our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. You’ll ensure a constant state of operational readiness, making sure the right people, training, tooling, test equipment and technical data are in place to meet production plans and customer commitments. You’ll lead, coach and develop your teams, creating a safe, engaged and high-performing environment while ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and internal requirements. Working closely with cross-functional partners and customers, you’ll drive continuous improvement, monitor business performance through clear metrics, and ensure delivery of products and services that meet quality, conformity and workmanship standards in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing. About You At Ontic, our culture is integral to how we work and how we deliver for our customers. You’ll bring proven leadership experience within an aerospace MRO environment, ideally within a Part 145 Repair Station, with a strong understanding of avionics LRU and component maintenance. You’re confident managing operational performance, developing teams, resolving conflict and driving improvement initiatives, while maintaining rigorous safety, quality and compliance standards. Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to interpret technical data, manuals and specifications are essential. You’ll also be comfortable working with ERP systems and using data to inform decisions.

Requirements

  • proven leadership experience within an aerospace MRO environment, ideally within a Part 145 Repair Station, with a strong understanding of avionics LRU and component maintenance
  • confident managing operational performance, developing teams, resolving conflict and driving improvement initiatives, while maintaining rigorous safety, quality and compliance standards
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to interpret technical data, manuals and specifications are essential
  • comfortable working with ERP systems and using data to inform decisions

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • direct knowledge of CFR 14 Part 145
  • an FAA A&P licence or eligibility for a Repairman Certificate would be advantageous
