About The Position

BJH has an opportunity for an Operations Manager - Housekeeping. The role is for our night shift 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is part of the Barnes-Jewish continuum of top ranked, compassionate care. It is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, located at 401 Corporate Park Drive in Clayton, Missouri. Organized as a hospital-based facility, Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is under the direction of Barnes-Jewish Hospital medical staff with full support of laboratory and rehabilitation departments. Services range from minimal assistance to subacute post-hospital recovery. Our patients range from the young to the elderly, as well as post-trauma rehabilitation patients and those in need of hospice or respite care. The Housekeeping Department at BJEC is responsible for delivering a clean and safe environment of care for our patients and residents. Role Purpose Responsible for the general management of and accountability for the Environmental Services and Distribution departments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years
• 2-5 years Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Manages overall operations of Environmental Services and Distribution Services.
• Sets strategic direction and ensures necessary resources are in place to support each departments' goals.
• Ensures Environmental Services and Distribution Services operate according to environmental and regulatory compliance codes and guidelines to protect the organization from liability, licensure and accreditation deficiencies and penalties.
