About The Position

Silco Fire & Security is seeking a talented and experienced Fire Alarm/Security Operations Manager to elevate our Fire Alarm/Security Division to the next level. This position will require a skilled manager to oversee the efficient operation and delivery of security solutions, inspections, maintenance services and overall professionalism of the operation. As the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry standards, enhancing customer satisfaction, driving operational excellence and partnering with sales within our Fire Alarm and Security Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire alarm and security services industry.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of success in operations management, project management, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of security systems, including, intrusion, video, access control, security gates, maintenance services, SASS and other emerging technologies.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Salesforce and Mondays a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians and support staff involved in our fire alarm/security operations. This includes Technicians, Coordinators, Technical Support, Pre-Sales Support and Project Supervisors.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market share in security and related services.
  • Own and manage your teams P&L/Financials in order to achieve goals.
  • Manage costs to support revenue.
  • Implement cost control measures and ensure accountability.
  • Grow billed work and maintenance services revenue.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of system installations, inspections, and maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of service quality and safety.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels, equipment, and resources effectively to support operational requirements and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline workflows.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to incorporate into operations where applicable.
