About The Position

The Operations Manager role at Lemus Construction is a hands-on leadership position focused on full ownership of the execution lifecycle for large-scale multifamily cladding projects. This role goes beyond oversight and is responsible for building and managing jobs within our CRM (Buildertrend), assigning Project Managers and crews, developing schedules, issuing purchase orders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring field teams are fully prepared for success. Managing projects ranging from $100K–$5M+, the Operations Manager is accountable for driving operational excellence, safety, quality, accountability, and performance across all active jobs—ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while serving as a key point of coordination between field teams, internal departments, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in roofing, construction project management, or field supervision
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt shingle roofing systems (installation and inspection)
  • Proven ability to lead multiple crews and manage complex jobsite logistics
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Hands-on, field-oriented leadership style with a desire to grow into a divisional leadership role
  • Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders and accessing slope roofs as part of daily duties

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual – Fluent in both English and Spanish (highly preferred)
  • Experience in multifamily and/or HOA roofing projects
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar construction CRMs
  • Experience working with property managers, engineers, and HOAs

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all cladding projects from initiation to completion
  • Oversee job setup including materials procurement, crew assignments, and logistics
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or challenges
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess workmanship and ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Track timelines, budgets, and performance metrics; provide progress reports as needed
  • Recruit, train, and supervise cladding crews and field personnel in collaboration with the Production Team
  • Conduct performance evaluations and promote accountability across safety, quality, and productivity
  • Lead regular safety and production meetings
  • Support crews with troubleshooting and complex project execution
  • Serve as the primary contact for escalations from homeowners, HOAs, and property managers
  • Provide timely updates, manage expectations, and resolve concerns throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee warranty and punch list work as required to ensure satisfaction
  • Lead scheduling of material deliveries, dumpsters, equipment, and site access.
  • Coordinate logistics with suppliers, internal teams, and property managers to ensure smooth job flow.
  • Track material usage and inventory to avoid delays and reduce waste.
  • Ensure crews have access to all necessary tools, equipment, and resources for daily production.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections and participate in regular toolbox talks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, insurance, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure crews use proper PPE and follow safety procedures at all times
  • Promptly report and document any accidents, incidents, or safety hazards.
  • Work with the Office Production Manager in building out jobs in Buildertrend: Create and publish project schedules, Enter scope-specific milestones and workflows, Submit purchase orders for materials and subcontractors, Monitor progress updates, field photos, and job communication logs
  • Assist with procurement tracking and vendor coordination for long lead-time items.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Permits, Inspections, & Customer Service) to support smooth project setup and closeout.
