About The Position

Welcome to the "What's Next District.” The Operations Manager for Attractions will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our amusement activations/attractions The Operations Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of AREA15 amusements including completing daily safety checks, maintaining high level knowledge of attractions and procedures, completing administrative duties, and managing amusement staff. The position will ensure safe operations of equipment while guaranteeing an exceptional visitor experience. The position will supervise staff across various shifts.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.
  • Previous experience in the amusement setting
  • 3 years minimum of supervisory experience in a similar setting or industry with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift and move 25 pounds unassisted
  • Valid work cards (Non-Gaming)
  • Able to provide lift certification for both boom and scissor lifts within 30 days of employment.
  • Adept at data analysis, critical thinking with a strong background in process improvement and change management
  • Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to commute between office and venue(s).
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
  • Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat, and sun exposure

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ticketing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efficient application of the safety regulations and conduct risk assessments needed to ensure a safe environment to visitors and staff.
  • Oversees staffing levels and recruitment for the department.
  • Develops proper succession planning to support our day-to-day operation regarding retention.
  • Oversight into development, implementation, and updates to training literature including Standard Operating Procedures, general department policies, evacuation training and facilitation courses to exceed safety standards.
  • Effectively mentor supervisory staff for continued improvement for both the individual and AREA15.
  • Maintain knowledge of attractions including operational procedures, continued staff training and emergency procedures.
  • Motivate staff and serve as an ambassador for the AREA15 brand.
  • Facilitates training and learning plans.
  • Review training guides and report any content that requires revision.
  • Oversees supervisory staff’s management of scheduling and assists with coverage when needed.
  • Leader of Attractions Base, ensuring proper training and support is given to the staff at all times.
  • Direct management of staffing levels, ensure the department can successfully operate for all levels of attendance.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
