About The Position

TownePlace Suites Branchburg is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager / Assistant General Manager to help lead our hotel, inspire our associates, and elevate the guest experience. This is more than a management role — it’s an opportunity to lead with purpose, create culture, and grow into senior hospitality leadership within a fast-growing organization. As the Operations Manager / Assistant General Manager, you will be a hands-on leader who partners closely with the General Manager to drive day-to-day operations, team engagement, and performance results. You’ll serve as a culture carrier, service champion, and mentor while confidently stepping into any operational role when needed.

  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Front Office Leader
  • At least one year of Guest Services or Front Desk Supervisor experience (required)
  • High school diploma (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with new hotel openings (a plus)
  • Familiarity with the Bridgewater/Branchburg, NJ market (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop associates through strong communication, integrity, and professionalism
  • Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure service excellence across all departments
  • Drive performance by achieving and exceeding budget, service, and team goals
  • Set the tone for guest engagement and serve as the hotel’s Service Champion
  • Coach, mentor, and retain top hospitality talent
  • Foster an open-door, people-first culture built on teamwork and accountability
  • Partner with Front Office and Food & Beverage teams to ensure operational and financial success
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support peak business needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
