Job Title: Operations Liaison Specialist Department: Operations Reports To: Alternate Contract Manager FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY: This position coordinates, schedules and oversees Liaison support for Mobilization Operations and Deployment Operations Centers within the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed in a satisfactory manner: • Collect accurate information and provide current status of mobilizing/demobilizing individuals/elements/units. • Ensure the reception and briefing of unit personnel after arrival • Ensure every individual Soldier has a copy of the MFGI mobilizing/demobilizing in-processing checklists and provide coordinating instructions for the following processing day. • Ensure Liaisons meet units/individuals/elements thirty minutes prior to scheduled processing at various agencies. • Facilitate briefings for units on the process of each station they will process and ensure completion of all assigned prescribed unit processing activities. • Ensure schedule changes are coordinated with the appropriate agency and conduct daily update briefing with unit leadership to review processing completion, upcoming requirements • Ensure daily updates to appropriate rosters upon completion of the unit/individual/element unit processing activities • Facilitate the resolution of all issues during the unit/individual/element processing; report unresolved issues to the supervisor. • Ensure information collection on all significant actions, issues and events that may delay mobilizing/demobilizing individuals/elements/unit’s effort to accomplish their processing schedule and/or to meet validation requirements. • Track and monitor all individual/element/units processing and confirm all required Fort Bragg mobilization/demobilization processing has occurred. • Receive, welcome, and track completion status of individuals and elements/units throughout GSO processing. • Identify and report to the supervisor on those Soldiers with processing issues • Prepare spreadsheets, matrices, tables, and other documentation to be utilized for status tracking and reporting • Review and ensure submission of unit Closure Reports within 48 hours of unit departure MFGI. • Ensure Liaisons maintain system access for Deployment Operations Center systems. • Integrate Liaisons into DPTMS Plans and Operations Division training and planning for Deployment Operations Centers • Ensure Liaisons are prepared to brief Deployment Operations Center stakeholders on the status of SRP operations, like the following: manning strength, processing data and deployability statistics.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
  • Must obtain and maintain the appropriate Secret Internet Protocol Router Network account(s)
  • Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc).
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the required tasks to standard.
  • Possess knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Must be able to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • Must be able to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Must be able to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • At a minimum, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license, applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources.
  • Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to senior management, contracting officials, clients and other employees in the organization.
  • Ability to organize work, define and solve problems, establish and manage priorities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based on facts.
  • Participates in prioritization of work and decision-making on allocation of resources.
  • The incumbent must be able to analyze a situation analytically, evaluate the facts/data and formulate a plan of action.
  • Must be physically capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred minimum 15 years of military experience.
  • Preferred three years experience working in military operations centers.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as identified above.
