Overview: As a Sanitation Team Member at Farmer Focus, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment by restoring equipment to USDA-compliant standards. You’ll work hands-on with industrial cleaning tools and sanitizers, ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role is ideal for dependable, team-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to excellence.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with team members, management, customers, and regulatory officials
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet, loud)
- Professional conduct and representation of the company
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Dependable and committed to following through on responsibilities
- Required: 0–1 year in food processing or similar heavy industry
- Solid understanding of sanitation procedures and safety protocols (e.g., Lock Out/Tag Out, HAZCOMM)
- Professional demeanor and appearance
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years in the food or protein industry
Responsibilities
- Ensure sanitation team members are properly trained and equipped with necessary PPE
- Communicate special sanitation instructions from supervisors to team members
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure team understanding
- Conduct inspections before, during, and after sanitation processes
- May perform sanitation duties directly
- Operate specialized equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts) after training
- Complete other tasks or projects as assigned
